34-Year-Old Woman Dies in Winchester Head-On Crash on Highway 79

 
WINCHESTER, CA (May 16, 2023) – Yvette Amezcua was killed in a head-on accident in Winchester late Sunday afternoon on May 14.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:50 p.m. on Highway 79 at the convergence of Scott Road and Washington Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided head-on for unknown reasons.
 
Amezcua, a 34-year-old Perris resident, was trapped in the wreckage. She suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

No other injuries were immediately reported. The crash is still under investigation.
