Teen Driver Dies in Early Morning Car Accident on 10 Freeway in West LA

 
WEST LOS ANGELES, CA (March 13, 2021) – A 17-year-old man died in a car accident on 10 Freeway in West Los Angeles early Friday morning, March 12.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:40 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of the freeway at National Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
 
CHP officials said the man was driving his 2008 Toyota Camry when he crashed into the center divider for unknown reasons. As a result, he suffered significant injuries
 
Paramedics rushed the teen driver to Cedars Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills where he later died, the CHP reported.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
 
Officials issued a SigAlert in the area, temporarily closing the eastbound lanes of 10 Freeway at National Boulevard.
 
The exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
