Speeding Car Crashes on San Juan Road Killing 3 Including 2 Children

 
NORTHGATE, CA (June 2, 2023) – A woman and two children were killed in a car accident on San Juan Road in Northgate Wednesday evening on May 31.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:15 p.m. near Northgate Boulevard, just north of Rio Tierra Park. According to the Sacramento Police Department, a sedan carrying 11 people was speeding in the area when it lost control. It then crashed into a tree.
 
The department said a total of 9 children, between the ages of 3 and 8, were inside the car.
 
A 25-year-old woman and two of the children, ages three and five, died at the scene. They were not yet identified.
 
All of the surviving victims have injuries ranging from serious to critical, police said.
 
Speed was a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
