GOLETA, CA (March 29, 2021) – Police confirmed that a woman died in a pedestrian accident on Hollister Avenue on March 26.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the train overpass near Modoc Road at approximately 1:15 PM.
 
Based on a report, emergency crews responded to the scene and found a woman down in the road. Prior to that, officials said an Amtrak train struck the victim.
 
As a result, emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Officers did not release the victim’s identity pending kin notification.
 
As of now, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating this pedestrian accident on Hollister Avenue. Thus, no other information about the case is available.
