Pedestrian Suffers Serious Injuries after Hit by Pickup Truck on Imperial Avenue in Lincoln Park

 
LINCOLN PARK, CA (October 19, 2021) – A 30-year-old woman suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on Imperial Avenue in Lincoln Park Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened around 6:19 a.m. on October 17. According to the San Diego Police Department, the female pedestrian entered the westbound traffic lanes at 4900 Imperial Avenue in the middle of the block when a westbound 2015 Toyota Tacoma struck her.
 
As a result, the woman sustained a fractured pelvis. Paramedics transported her to a hospital for treatment.
 
The driver of the Tacoma was a 52-year-old man. However, it is unknown if he stayed on scene after the crash.
 
SDPD Traffic Investigations was handling the investigation.
