Livermore Two-Vehicle Crash Occurs on 580 Freeway at Livermore Avenue
LIVERMORE, CA (August 22, 2022) – A woman suffered serious injuries in a fiery two-vehicle crash on westbound 580 Freeway on August 17.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision just east of Livermore Avenue at approximately 2:47 AM.
Based on reports, a woman crashed a Toyota Camry into a concrete wall and ended up resting in the fast lane. Then, a Nissan Altima came and struck both her and the vehicle. The Camry then burst into flames. Officers found the unconscious woman lying between the Camry engulfed in flames and the wrecked Altima.
As a result, the woman suffered serious injuries in the incident. CHP officers rescued and transported her to Eden Hospital in Castro Valley for treatment. The second driver suffered only minor injuries.
At this point, no other details are available. Also, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
