Woman Severely Hurt, Car, Big Rig Crash on San Pasqual Valley Road in Escondido

 
ESCONDIDO, CA (February 24, 2023) — A woman was seriously injured in a car accident with a semi-truck on San Pasqual Valley Road near Bandy Canyon Road.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the two-vehicle crash happened around 11:17 a.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, an elderly woman in a 2019 CRV veered off the eastbound lane and crashed into a hillside. Subsequently, her SUV returned back onto the roadway but struck a 2013 Freightliner tractor-trailer.
 
Soon after, paramedics transported the female victim to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the 33-year-old male driver of the semi-truck stayed at the scene with minor injuries.
