Bicyclist Suffers Serious Injuries after Colliding with SUV on North Torrey Pines Road

 
TORREY PINES, CA (July 11, 2022) – A 55-year-old woman was seriously injured in a bicycle accident on North Torrey Pines Road on Saturday morning, July 9.
 
Around 10:30 a.m., the woman was riding her bike north in 10900 block of North Torrey Pines Road when she swerved to the left. She then collided with a tan Toyota Rav-4 SUV, driven by a 79-year-old woman.
 
The impact caused the bicyclist to fall to the ground. First responders rushed her to an area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.
 
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
