Fatal Train Accident on North Woodley Avenue in Van Nuys

 
VAN NUYS, CA (March 12, 2021) – A woman was killed in a train accident on North Woodley Avenue Wednesday afternoon, March 10.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the victim was apparently walking on the tracks near the 8100 block of North Woodley Avenue around 3:00 p.m. when a Metrolink train hit her.
 
Responding paramedics found the woman in trauma-induced cardiac arrest. They attempted to resuscitate her for over 20 minutes, but ultimately she died at the scene.
 
Authorities will release the victim’s identity once her family members are properly notified.
 
Metrolink trains on that line were shut down for at least two to three hours as officials investigated the accident.
