Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Vehicle on Marsh Drive in Pacheco

 
PACHECO, CA (December 25, 2022) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Marsh Drive in Pacheco Wednesday evening on December 21.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 8:50 p.m. near Mobile Drive. According to the CHP, the victim was standing next to her parked Dodge Caliber when a vehicle going northbound on Marsh Drive stuck her and her car.
 
After the crash, the driver did not stop, continuing northbound on Marsh Drive.
 
Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters worked to save the woman, but authorities pronounced her dead just after 9:00 p.m. Authorities did not identify her and said it may take a while to do so publicly, because they believe the woman’s family lives out of the country.
 
At this time, the CHP had no information on the vehicle or its driver. Authorities urged witnesses to call the CHP’s Contra Costa office at 925-646-4980.
