Woman Dies after Struck by 2 Hit-and-Run Vehicles on East 7th Street in Long Beach

 
LONG BEACH, CA (August 15, 2021) – A woman died in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash at 7th Street and Dawson Avenue in Long Beach Thursday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 8:30 p.m. on August 12. According to the Long Beach Police Department, the woman was walking northbound across Seventh Street in an unmarked crosswalk when a white Toyota pickup truck hit her. The driver of the pickup then drove away.
 
While the woman was lying in the eastbound lanes, a blue SUV ran over her and the driver also fled the scene.
 
Long Beach paramedics arrived soon after and rushed the woman to a local hospital, where the victim succumbed to her injuries.
 
The Los Angeles coroner withheld the victim’s identity pending family notification.
