LAKE ELSINORE, CA (March 2, 2022) — A woman died in a pedestrian crash on Highway 74 near Hammack Avenue on Monday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred around 7:15 p.m. For unknown reasons, the female pedestrian stepped in front of an oncoming Honda Civic, whose driver had no chance to avoid her.
 
Following the impact, the Honda driver pulled over and immediately contacted 911 for help.
 
Upon responding, firefighter-paramedics attempted life-saving efforts, but the woman succumbed to her injuries.
