Pedestrian Dies after Hit by Pickup Truck near Sierra Avenue in Fontana

 
FONTANA, CA (August 14, 2022) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident near Sierra Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in Fontana late Sunday evening last week.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:55 p.m. on August 7. According to the Fontana Police Department, the female pedestrian was crossing the westbound lanes of Foothill Boulevard outside of the crosswalk when a green 2002 Chevrolet Silverado traveling westbound on Foothill struck her.
 
The woman was transported to Kaiser Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on August 8 at 12:21 a.m.
 
Meanwhile, the driver and two passengers were not injured in the crash.
 
It is unknown at this time if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. This fatality is still under investigation.
