Woman Dies in Poway Pedestrian Accident near Poway Road

 
POWAY, CA (March 4, 2021) — A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident near Poway Road and Community Road Wednesday morning.
 
According to sheriff’s officials, the accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. Under unknown circumstances, a tractor-trailer struck the woman at the shopping center along Poway Road. Per reports, the big rig purportedly dragged her about 50 feet on an access road before running her over. Not long after, the woman died from her injuries.
 
At this time, the victim’s name has not been released, and an investigation into the circumstances remains. However, if anyone has news on this fatal crash, please contact the San Diego County Sheriff’s office.
