Pedestrian Dies after Struck on North Capitol Avenue in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (May 2, 2022) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on North Capitol Avenue in San Jose on Saturday night.
 
The accident happened around 6:35 p.m. on April 30 just near 680 Freeway. According to the San Jose Police Department, the female pedestrian was walking in the area when a vehicle struck her.
 
The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office withheld her identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the driver remained on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident. Further investigation is underway.
