Woman Dies in Santa Monica Pedestrian Accident near Main Street

 
SANTA MONICA, CA (August 9, 2021) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident near Main Street and Ashland Avenue Saturday morning.
 
According to news reports, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 2:30 am. Under unknown circumstances, a driver heading in an unknown direction struck the woman, resulting in fatal injuries. Soon after, authorities responded and interviewed the driver who cooperated during the investigation.
 
At this time, it’s unclear whether DUI played a factor in the crash. Although, if anyone has more information, please call the Santa Monica Police Department.
