Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Highway 116 in Sebastopol
SEBASTOPOL, CA (November 4, 2021) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 116 in Sebastopol Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened around 2:48 p.m. on November 3 near Old Gravenstein Highway and Levie Lane. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 71-year-old male driver was driving on the highway before suddenly the female pedestrian was in front of the vehicle.
The vehicle struck the woman, causing her fatal injuries. The victim – who was in her 60s – died at the scene. However, authorities withheld her name pending notification of next of kin.
CHP officials are still investigating the accident to determine the factors involved and liability.
