Early Morning Pedestrian Accident on East 7th Street in Long Beach Ends in Fatality

 
LONG BEACH, CA (August 24, 2022) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident at East 7th Street and Campus Drive in Long Beach early Monday morning, August 22.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:40 a.m. just in front of the California State University. According to the Long Beach Police Department, the female pedestrian was walking in lanes of traffic when a vehicle struck her.
 
As a result, the woman suffered critical injuries and died at the scene. She was not yet identified.
 
The involved driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Alcohol, drugs or distracted driving are not considered factors in the crash.
