72-Year-Old Woman Dies after Hit by Vehicle on Concord Boulevard

CONCORD, CA (September 28, 2021) – A 72-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on Concord Boulevard near Denkinger Road Monday morning.
 
The accident happened around 7:20 a.m. on September 27, about a mile from Concord High School and the El Dorado Middle School campus. According to Concord police, the woman was walking in the area when a 62-year-old man driving a car struck her.
 
Paramedics responded and rushed the woman to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
 
The involved driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
No arrests were made at this time. The accident remains under investigation. Police asked witnesses to contact them at 925-603-5963.
