Pedestrian in Wheelchair Dies after Struck by SUV on Chesbro Avenuein San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (November 8, 2023) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident at Chesbro Avenue and Blossom Hill Road in South San Jose on Monday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:35 p.m. on November 6. According to the San Jose Police Department, a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer SUV struck the woman who was crossing Blossom Hill in a wheelchair. Police said she was in a marked crosswalk and was crossing against a red light.
 
First responders rushed the woman to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
 
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office withheld the woman’s identity at this time.
 
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
