Woman Dies in Pedestrian Crash on 880 Freeway in Fremont

 
FREMONT, CA (August 12, 2022) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident on the 880 Freeway near Fremont Boulevard on Thursday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to reports of a body on the right-hand shoulder around 1:50 a.m.
 
Upon responding, officers deduced that either a big rig or a car hauler struck a woman on the 880 Northbound Freeway at the Fremont Boulevard off-ramp.
 
At this time, authorities have not released the victim’s name, but are asking drivers to check their vehicle for damage if they were around the scene at the time of the crash.
