Vehicle Hits Two Women on 24th Avenue in Sunset District, One Killed and One Badly Injured

 
SUNSET DISTRICT, CA (October 26, 2022) – One woman was killed in a pedestrian accident at 24th Avenue and Santiago Street in Sunset District on Monday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 10:52 a.m. on October 24. According to the San Francisco Police Department, a vehicle was racing up Santiago Street when it struck two women who was either standing or walking in the area. Several other vehicles were also hit in the crash.
 
Responding officers provided medical aid to the victims, but one of the women died at the scene. Paramedics rushed the second woman to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
Both women are seniors, according to police.
 
The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene with non life-threatening injuries.
 
An investigation is underway. Police asked anyone with further information to contact the SFPD at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 to start the message with SFPD.
