Oscar Garcia Fatally Struck Pedestrian on 215 Freeway in Grand Terrace

 
GRAND TERRACE, CA (July 14, 2021) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on 215 Freeway in Grand Terrace late Monday evening.
 
The accident happened around 10:22 p.m. on July 12, just north of Iowa Avenue. According to the CHP, 52-year-old Oscar Garcia of San Bernardino was driving a 1988 blue Ford F-150 north on the freeway when he struck the female pedestrian that was walking in the northbound lanes. Two more vehicles also hit the woman.
 
Responding emergency medical personnel pronounced the victim dead on scene.
 
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office only identified the woman as a 29-year-old Victorville resident.
 
All three drivers stopped at the scene and it is unknown why the pedestrian was walking in lanes.
