Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on 14th Avenue in South Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 12, 2023) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident at 14th Avenue and Stockton Boulevard in South Sacramento on Tuesday night.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:00 p.m. on January 10. According to the Sacramento Police Department, a vehicle struck the female pedestrian who was walking in the area.
 
When officers arrived, they found the woman lying in the roadway with serious injuries. Paramedics attempted saving the victim, but she died at the scene.
 
The driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing. Police closed Stockton Boulevard between 14th and 17th avenues while they documended the crash.
