35-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car on 110 Freeway in Highland Park

 
HIGLAND PARK, CA (December 7, 2021) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on 110 Freeway in Highland Park on Tuesday, November 30.
 
The accident happened around 4:28 a.m. near Via Marisol. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 35-year-old woman was walking in the southbound lanes of the freeway when a Toyota Corolla struck her.
 
When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian lying in the third lane and was suffering from fatal injuries. They pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
The woman’s identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
The Toyota’s driver, who was not injured, stayed at the scene and was not arrested.
 
At this time, this fatal accident is still under investigation. Authorities asked anyone with further information to call the Highway Patrol’s Central Los Angeles office at 213-744-2331.
