28-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Car on 10 Freeway in Fontana

 
FONTANA, CA (September 1, 2022) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident on 10 Freeway in Fontana late Sunday afternoon, August 28.
 
The accident happened around 5:01 p.m. at Sierra Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 28-year-old female pedestrian was walking in the area when a black Mercedes-Benz sedan struck her.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the woman to Kaiser Foundation Hospital Fontana, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
 
At this time, authorities withheld the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin.
 
The California Highway Patrol Rancho Cucamonga Division is still investigating the accident.
