Wrong-Way Driver Causes Fatal Multi-Vehicle Accident on 14 Freeway in Lancaster

 
LANCASTER, CA (February 16, 2022) – A woman was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on 14 Freeway in Lancaster, early Monday morning.
 
The accident happened around 12:07 a.m. on February 14 just south of Avenue H. According to the California Highway Patrol, one vehicle was traveling the wrong-way when it collided head-on with another vehicle on the northbound freeway. The impact of the initial crash involved several other vehicles.
 
When officers arrived, they found a female occupant suffering from fatal injuries and pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
 
It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol was involved. An investigation into this fatal crash is underway.
