Woman Dead in Long Beach Motorcycle Crash on Cherry Avenue

 
LONG BEACH, CA (May 12, 2021) — A woman died in a motorcycle accident on Cherry Avenue near 60th Street Sunday night.
 
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the crash occurred around 6:15 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 22-year-old woman heading northbound collided with a Ford Econoline.
 
The 72-year-old Lakewood man operating the Ford had been parked along the curb and was attempting to enter traffic on Cherry Avenue.
 
As a result of the crash, the woman died from her injuries, and the driver stayed at the scene for investigations.
 
At this time, police plan to investigate whether speed played a role on the woman’s part. However, if anyone has more information on this crash, please contact the Long Beach Police
