Skydiving Plane Crashes on Foussat Road in Oceanside Killing 1 and Seriously Injuring Another

 
OCEANSIDE, CA (June 7, 2022) – A woman died and a man was seriously injured in a small plane crash on Foussat Road in Oceanside on Friday afternoon, June 3.
 
The crash happened around 1:45 p.m. at Highway 76 near Oceanside Municipal Airport. According to the Oceanside Fire Department, a single-engine Cessna 208B crashed while the pilot was trying to land at the airport.
 
Two people were on board in the skydiving plane.
 
Paramedics took the man and woman on board to a hospital, where the woman succumbed to her injuries.
 
The man suffered serious injuries. His condition was not immediately available.
 
At this time, the reason for the crash is unknown. The Federal Aviation Administration is handling the investigation.
