Police Arrest DUI Suspect after Fatal Crash at Dry Creek Road and Marysville Boulevard

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 22, 2022) – A woman died and police arrested Joel Jimenez-Cervante after a DUI crash in Sacramento on Sunday afternoon.
 
The fatal crash happened around 4:15 p.m. on November 20, in the area of Dry Creek Road and Marysville Boulevard. According to the Sacramento Police Department, the crash involved three vehicles.
 
Paramedics transported the woman to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. It is unclear if the victim was one of the drivers or a passenger.
 
Two other people were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Jimenez-Cervante, 25, was one of the drivers. Police determined that he was under the influence at the time of the crash and arrested him. They will booked him into the Sacramento County Jail on charges of vehicular manslaughter and DUI.
