Police Arrest Jesse Molina after Fatally Striking Pedestrian at San Fernando Boulevard and Grinnell Drive

BURBANK, CA (December 13, 2021) – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash at San Fernando Boulevard and Grinnell Drive in Burbank on Friday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on December 10. According to the Burbank Police Department, the female pedestrian was either walking or standing at the intersection when a vehicle struck her.
 
The impact caused the victim fatal injuries and she died at the scene. She was not yet identified.
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver continued driving several blocks away from the crash site.
 
Police later found the vehicle and took the driver into custody. They have identified the suspect as 49-year-old Jesse Molina of Granada Hills.
 
At this time, it is unknown if speed was a factor in the crash.
 
Crews closed the area around San Fernando Boulevard between Burbank Boulevard and Cypress Avenue while police investigated the fatality.
