Woman Dies in Menifee Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Highway 74

 
MENIFEE, CA (March 9, 2021) — A woman was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Highway 74 near Trumble Road Friday night.
 
According to the Menifee Police Department, the fatal accident happened around 11:30 p.m. Under unknown circumstances, a driver struck the woman as she was walking alongside the corridor. However, the vehicle’s speed and direction of travel remain uncertain at this time.
 
Following the accident, the driver fled the area, but passersby found the victim in the road and immediately called 911. Paramedics arrived soon after to render life-saving measures. Although, the victim, whose name has not been released, died a short time later.
 
At this time, detectives believe a Dodge Ram 4500 model may have struck the woman. However, anyone with more information on this accident should contact the Menifee police department.
