Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Naples Street in Chula Vista

 
CHULA VISTA, CA (June 13, 2022) – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Naples Street in Chula Vista late Saturday evening on June 11.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:22 p.m. near 5th Avenue. According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the female pedestrian was walking in the 500 block of Naples Street when a vehicle struck her.
 
The suspect vehicle fled the scene before police arrived.
 
Responding paramedics rendered aid to the victim, but she was later pronounced dead at the scene.
 
At this time, authorities withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of her family members.
 
The CVPD Traffic Bureau is still investigating the fatality. Anyone with additional information was urged to call 619-476-5321.
