Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run on Garden Highway near Del Monte Avenue in Yuba City

 
YUBA CITY, CA (May 20, 2022) – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Garden Highway, early Thursday morning.
 
According to the Yuba City Police Department, the incident happened on May 19 at about 5:50 a.m. The pedestrian was walking west across Garden Highway when a vehicle hit her near Del Monte Avenue.
 
Emergency crews transported the victim to Adventist Rideout Hospital, where she later died. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
As per reports, the driver of the vehicle immediately left the area. Investigators described the suspect vehicle as a 2009-2012 gray Honda two-door coupe sedan with front right-side damage.
 
Yuba City police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal incident. Officers ask anyone with information to call Yuba City Police Department at (530) 822-4661.
