Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Accident on Main Street and 97th Street

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 8, 2021) — A woman suffered fatal injuries following a hit-and-run accident on Main Street on Tuesday, February 2.
 
Officials received reports of the crash at around 5:50 p.m. near the intersection of Main Street and 97th Street. The area is in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a white pickup truck moved south on Main Street. Then it hit a 66-year-old woman walking outside of a crosswalk south of 97th Street.
 
The involved driver did not stop. The vehicle continued south on Main Street and then turned left on 98th Street.
 
Paramedics rushed the woman to a hospital where she later died from sustained injuries. The police have not yet released her identity.
 
Officials said that the truck has white wooden side paneling.
 
Authorities offer a reward of up to $50,000 for tips that will lead to the driver’s identity, arrest, and prosecution.
