Woman Dies in Head-On Crash on Pacific Coast Highway

 
MALIBU, CA (September 21, 2021) — A woman died in a head-on accident on Pacific Coast Highway near Deer Creek Road Saturday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-car accident happened around 1:00 p.m. on September 11. For unknown reasons, a driver in a southbound 2011 Jeep Wrangler crossed into the oncoming traffic lane. Subsequently, the Jeep collided with a northbound Honda carrying three people inside
 
As a result, the Honda driver died from her severe injuries.
 
Meanwhile, her 90-year-old female passenger from Santa Monica and 65-year-old female passenger from Los Angeles both suffered major injuries.
 
According to the CHP, paramedics brought the 39-year-old Jeep driver and 34-year-old Jeep passenger to a hospital for treatment, as well. At this time, authorities have made no arrests and the cause of the accident requires more investigation.
