Woman Killed in Head-On Accident on Parker Road [Modesto, CA]

Woman Fatally Injured in Head-On Crash on Parker Road near Wellsford Road

 
MODESTO, CA (October 25, 2021) — A woman died following a head-on accident on Parker Road on Wednesday, October 20.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the two-car crash occurred on Parker Road just west of Wellsford Road at about 7:20 p.m.
 
Investigations found out that a Ford pickup moved westbound and an SUV drove eastbound on Parker Road.
 
CHP said the car approached each other and for undetermined reasons they collided head-on. The driver of the SUV left the roadway and crashed into a barbed-wire fence.
 
The driver of the pickup suffered minor injuries and refused to go to the hospital. A child was in the pickup in a child safety seat and did not have any injuries.
 
Medics rushed the driver of the SUV to the hospital, where she later died from sustained injuries.
 
CHP said drugs and/or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the collision. All involved wore seat belts.
 
The investigation of the incident is still underway.
