Truck Involved in Fatal Head-On Accident on Beth Court near Alvin Avenue in Santa Maria

 
SANTA MARIA, CA (February 4, 2022) – A Santa Maria woman was killed in a head-on accident on Beth Court on Tuesday evening.
 
According to the Santa Maria Police Department, the incident happened on February 1, at about 7:00 p.m. A wrong-way driver reportedly made an unsafe turning movement. Then, the vehicle collided head-on with a truck in the area of Beth Court and Alvin Avenue.
 
An air ambulance later transported the woman to a Santa Barbara hospital, where she later died. Authorities withheld the name of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
