Passenger Dies in Early Morning Car Accident on Concord Avenue in Brentwood, Driver Suffers Severe Injuries

 
BRENTWOOD, CA (October 18, 2021) – A woman was killed in a car accident on Concord Avenue in Brentwood early Sunday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:40 a.m. on October 17, near Bacchini Lane. According to Brentwood police, a two-door Lexus was traveling eastbound on Concord Avenue when it left the roadway. It then crashed into a wooden split-rail fence.
 
Both the male driver and the female passenger were thrown into the roadway.
 
The passenger, a 27-year-old Hayward woman, died at the scene. The driver, a 28-year-old Tracy man, was taken to a hospital with severe but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Police said the cause of the crash and whether alcohol and or drugs were factors remain under investigation. They asked witnesses of the crash to call the police Traffic Safety Unit at 925-634-6911.
