MERCED, CA (May 11, 2022) – A woman sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on West Main Street on Thursday morning.
 
According to the Merced Police Department, the incident happened on May 5 at about 9:25 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle hit the pedestrian near the intersection of West Main Street and N Street.
 
A RIGGS ambulance later transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
