Woman Hurt in Salinas Pedestrian Crash on Market Street

 
SALINAS, CA (November 3, 2021) — A woman suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Market Street near Clark Street on Monday morning.
 
According to police, the crash happened in the early morning. For unknown reasons, the 50-year-old woman stepped into traffic without clearing the road. Subsequently, a driver dodged her, but another ended up hitting her at speeds of 40 miles per hour.
 
Following the crash, police arrived and interviewed the 61-year-old driver. Meanwhile, paramedics brought the female pedestrian to a hospital for treatment.
