Woman Airlifted after Multi-Car Accident on Highway 18 near Buena Vista Road

 
LUCERNE VALLEY, CA (June 25, 2021) — A woman suffered injuries in a multi-car crash on Highway 18  in Lucerne Valley on Tuesday, June 22.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the three-vehicle crash occurred on State Highway 18 near Buena Vista Road at about 10:17 a.m.
 
CHP incident records show that a woman injured in the crash sat down and had difficulty breathing. The San Bernardino County Fire Department asked a helicopter to airlift patients to a hospital outside the region.
 
The accident blocked the lanes to the east and west of the highway as police conducted an on-scene investigation. Tow trucks worked to clear the area.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
