SANTA MARIA, CA (February 5, 2022) – A woman suffered injuries in a head-on crash on East Alvin Avenue on February 1.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened between College Drive and Miller Street shortly before 7:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, a pickup truck and a small sedan collided head-on in the lanes. However, the circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately available.
 
As a result, the victim had major injuries in the incident. The Santa Maria Fire Department, the Police Department, and American Medical Response arrived at the scene. Immediately, crews transported the patient to Marian Regional Medical Center, where a CalStar medical helicopter was waiting to take her to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of trauma injuries.
