SILVER LAKE, CA (June 22, 2023) — A woman was hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Silver Lake Boulevard near Berkeley Avenue.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department Central Traffic Division, the deadly hit-and-run happened around 9:30 p.m. Monday. Under circumstances that require further investigation, a driver struck a woman in the middle of the street. One witness informed police that the woman was standing outside her vehicle prior to being hit.
 
Minutes later, emergency personnel arrived and shuttled her to a hospital, where she passed away.
