SAN JOSE, CA (February 3, 2022) — A woman was hit and killed by a garbage truck on Fontanelle Court near Eppling Lane on Wednesday morning.
 
According to San Jose police, the fatal crash happened around 7:43 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a garbage truck driver struck a woman who was bringing her trash cans to the street.
 
According to reports, she had walked into the driver’s blind spot at the time the accident had occurred.
 
At this time, the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the woman’s identity.
