Woman Killed in Solo-Car Crash on McKinley Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (August 5, 2022) — A woman died in a solo-car accident on McKinley Avenue near Millbrook Avenue on Thursday.
 
According to Fresno Police, the fatal single-car accident happened around 1:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, a woman driving a minivan lost control of her westbound vehicle. As a result, her car crashed into a tree in the center median.
 
Soon after, nearly fifteen people rushed to her aid to pry open the door to release her. Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene and rushed her to a hospital in critical condition. However, despite efforts to save her, medical staff pronounced her dead.
 
At this time, officers do not believe alcohol or drugs played a part in the accident. However, an ongoing investigation continues.
