Woman Killed in Downey Pedestrian Crash on Firestone Boulevard

 
DOWNEY, CA (July 30, 2021) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident on Firestone Boulevard near Newville Avenue early Thursday.
 
According to authorities, the fatal pedestrian crash occurred around 4:50 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver heading westbound on Firestone Boulevard struck the woman, throwing her into the eastbound lanes. Tragically, the unidentified woman died in the crash, and the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.
 
Shortly after, authorities and paramedics responded and an investigation unfolded.
