Woman Killed in Santa Cruz County Motorcycle Crash Involving Big Rig on Carlton Road
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA (May 10, 2023) — A woman died in a motorcycle accident involving a semi-truck on Carlton Road near Thompson Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle accident happened around 3:35 p.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a 30-year-old woman operating a 2023 Honda CBR600RR lost control of her southbound vehicle on a curve. Subsequently, she struck the road and continued traveling southeast before hitting a northbound 2024 Freightliner semi-truck on Carlton Road.
The unidentified woman passed away in the crash. The driver and passenger of the big rig reported no injuries in the incident.
