Woman Killed in South Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash at Normandie Avenue

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (May 24, 2022) — A woman died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Normandie Avenue and 59th Street on Sunday.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the fatal hit-and-run occurred around 9:00 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver in an unknown make and model struck a woman, who officers say appeared to be in her 50s or 60s.
 
As a result, the victim suffered serious injuries and died moments later.
 
Upon arriving, authorities found the fatally injured woman at the scene yet no sign of the driver nearby.
 
At this time, investigators need the public’s help in identifying the driver in this hit-and-run crash. If anyone has information to share, please call the Los Angeles Police Department South Traffic Division.
