Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Highway 273

 
ANDERSON, CA (December 28, 2021) — A woman died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Highway 273 near Jessie Road Sunday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 8:55 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a white 2017 Honda Accord traveling at an unknown speed struck the 37-year-old woman on the northbound lanes of the highway.
 
Due to the nature of the accident, the Douglas City woman suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
 
Subsequently, the driver parked the car on Banigan Road and took off.
 
At this time, the driver of the hit-and-run remains unaccounted for. Therefore, any witnesses with information should contact the CHP.
